A favorite feature of J&D farms is always The Carriage House. Like the Barn, the Carriage House is architecturally designed and equally unique in craftsmanship and detailing. Utilizing historic timber framing techniques and rough sawn beams, it features a vaulted living space of over 26 feet! The house has been photographed by Southern Living Magazine, and featured in Victoria Magazine (click for article.pdf) The Carriage House is included as the bridal dressing suite with every rental, Saturday or Sunday, and is now available as a honeymoon cottage (see details below)! It’s grounds are a photographer’s dream, and are perfect for capturing candid moments as well as wedding party group photos. A beautiful fieldstone wall envelopes the back lawn with a rose covered arbor leading to the Pool Terrace. Surrounded by azaleas, fragrant gardenias and seasonal flowers, the Pool Terrace is often utilized for a cocktail hour following the ceremony and is the perfect spot for a bride and groom’s first look.
